How to use this QR generator
A PDF-link QR code opens a document at a web address. This tool encodes a link to a PDF you have already hosted; it does not upload or store your PDF. It works well for menus, product instructions and brochures with a stable public file URL.
- Upload the document to your own website or another file service. Set the access permissions so the intended audience can open it.
- Paste the public HTTPS file address below. Test that exact link in a private browser window without signing in.
- Customize the code and download your artwork. Scan it on a phone and check that the document opens comfortably on a small screen.
Opening a PDF and downloading a QR as PDF are different
The encoded destination decides what a scan opens. The export format decides the file you download from Make QR. A QR code that opens a PDF document can be exported as PNG or SVG. Likewise, choosing PDF as an export format prints your QR artwork into a PDF; it does not upload or convert a document into the QR code.
File permissions and document updates
Some cloud file links open a preview page or require a login. Check the access experience on a device that is not signed into your account. If you can replace the PDF at the same URL, the printed QR can lead to the revised document. If the hosting service changes the URL, make a new code. The document's availability depends on its hosting provider.

Frequently asked questions
Can I upload a PDF here?
No. Host your document first, then paste its public URL. Make QR does not provide document storage.
Will the PDF be stored inside the QR code?
No. The code stores the file URL, not the document bytes. Opening the PDF usually needs internet access.
