How to use this Wi-Fi generator
Use this Wi-Fi QR code maker to share guest network access without asking visitors to type a password. The code stores your network name, security type and password so a compatible phone can offer to join after a scan. Make QR builds it in your browser; basic generation and downloads do not upload your network credentials.
- Enter the network name exactly as it appears in your router settings. Names and passwords are case-sensitive.
- Choose WPA/WPA2, WEP or an open network to match your router. Enter the password for a protected network; open networks need none.
- Choose your colors and download the code. Test it on a phone that is not already connected, then print your sign.
A guest network is a better starting point
For a café, office or rental property, use your router's guest network when available. Give the sign a clear label so guests know which network they are joining. A QR code is a convenient way to share credentials, but anyone who can scan it can read those credentials. Do not display a private network's password in a public place.
When the network details change
This is a static Wi-Fi code. Changing the router password or network name means creating and printing a new QR code. Keep a browser draft to simplify the next update, and test the updated sign before replacing the old one. The Wi-Fi card template combines the code with a network label and visible instructions.

Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code hide my Wi-Fi password?
No. A Wi-Fi QR code encodes the password, and a QR reader can reveal it. Only share access to a network you intend guests to use.
Will it join every phone automatically?
Compatible phones usually offer a join-network prompt, but support varies by camera app, device and network security. Always test your actual network on the phones your guests use.
Are my network details uploaded?
Generation and downloads happen in your browser. Creating a public design share link uploads a snapshot, including the Wi-Fi details, so avoid that option for private credentials.
